Due to the AIDS epidamic, Ghana is a nation with a massive population of orphaned children. Many of these children have the opportunity to attend some degree of schooling, but not all. However, few of them will have the opportunity to hear of the love that our heavenly Father has for them. Most will grow up without even hearing the name of our Saviour. We take something that so many children take for granted in Western culture to the children of Ghana - the VBS. Unlike the United States, the children (and often adults) treat a VBS as a once-in-lifetime opportunity. For many, it may be.
